Security Tags

Sometimes I wonder if those security tags actually work. I mean check this out.

Went to Boots just now and bought myself a shaver. Went back home and found the tag was still on. Anyways, who puts security tags on a shaver that cost just 9GBP. Since I was too lazy to go back,

Took a pen knife and cut through the box.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer had finally hang up his boots after 11 years at United. He will be miss but definitely not forgotten. The supersub during '99 at Old Trafford against Liverpool and the Nou Camp against Bayern. What more can I say.

You are my Solksjaer...

Moving??

My landlord or rather the estate agent are increasing my rent from GBP350pw to GBP450pw when I am renewing my contract for my apartment. I've been living here for almost 2 years and feel settled here. But with the increment of the rent, I'll prolly need to be looking for a new place. Hopefully some place as convenient as where I'm staying now which I really doubt. I mean, my flat is in between two tube stations(both less than 5 mins away), buses everywhere, supermarket, shopping centre, restaurants and many more. But on the other hand, I'm quite looking forward to move to a new place. Not the actual moving which I think is gonna be shit. I've got until 20 October to move but Uni starts in late September so I would wanna find a place by then. Looking around zone 2 as it could save me loads of money but prolly not as convenient. But will have to wait and see.

Japanese Chopsticks

After watching the cooking episode of Gaki No Tsukai, seeing them using those long chopsticks made me wanna use them as well. Since the chopsticks I got are the korean ones (slim and flat) and of course the chinese ones. So I went to Japan Centre and bought me couple of Japanese chopsticks. Set me back 5GBP.

Pics taken with LG Prada...not bad quality

5.62GBP

Went to Chinatown for dinner and walked past a few stores selling durian. Suddenly, I felt the urge to eat durians. Checked a few stores and were selling whole durian for 5GBP per kilo. Then I changed my mind because not that its difficult to open it when I get back home but it bringing it home is the main problem. Imagine walking down the street filled with people with durians and boarding a bus full of people. As you know, people here DON'T like the smell of durians. So I decided to buy packed ones which were like 10 quid a kilo. Money well spent as the flesh were so sweet.

Inside United

Bought the latest United mag for the new season. As always, it comes with the Premier League season review and its as enjoyable as ever. Especially, the parts on clubs if they were a household item, they'd be...
Here's a pick of the bunch:
ARSEnal: They'd be a scooter - nippy, downsized from va-va-voom and excellent for "pizza delivery"

Birmingham City: A toaster. No-one gives them a great deal of thought, but every now and again they pop up and surprise you.

Chelski: A Gaggia coffee-maker. Looks good, costs about 10 times anything else on the market, yet better results can be achieved at a fraction of the price. ;)

Fulham: Old sports car - flash owner, usually starts ok, but breaks down the minute you're any distance from home. (lmfao at this one. Just look at their horrendous away record)

The Scums aka Loserpool: a fading family photo, possibly of your great-granny. Everybody tells you she was beautiful in her day, but it all seems a long time ago now. (from a fren: Those Liverpool fans are still living in the past. Flippin' 17 years since their last League title and apparently are the best club in England. What a load of bullcrap)

Boro: an IKEA wardrobe - you've got all the bits, but it won't work properly.
Sunderland: a toilet seat - constantly going up and down

this one from the love to hate:
Pompey: The away end!! It has only one toilet - oh, and that bloody bell...(yup!! Dat bell thingy is well annoying)

Oh yeah, check this out too. United players singing at a Christmas party. Didn't know dat they would know the club songs.

Spotted Wazza, Ronnie, Larsson, Gabi, Gaz, Brown, Giggsy, prolly Scholesy. Makes me proud being a United fan. I mean you can see the passion of the players for the club. I doubt the Chelsea players wud even noe any of the club songs. Drogba, Ballack or Sheva singing!! Nah in ur dreams. Same goes for Arsenal. Well for Liverpool, prolly just Gerrard or carragher. anyways, lmao at the players at the ronaldo song. waving left and right

Head Porter x Sunbrella

Just got myself a Head Porter x Sunbrella wallet.

The retail price in Japan is 6500yen approx 27GBP which I didn't know until the wallet arrive today. Got it for 45GBP but considering the only place in London I know that sells authentic Head Porter stuffs is Hideout and they really rip you off. This wallet prolly gonna cost me a lot more if I bought it from them but hey, I dun blame them cuz they also need to make a living.

The new Sony Ericsson S500i. The pics doesn't really do it justice as it looks really good. By the way, this is my sis's phone. I'm contented with my Prada.

Love the black green colourway.

Not as slim as the U600 but totally kicks the U600's ass in everything else.

Yotel! x New Balance 576

Guess wad. Check this out.

Well, Simon Woodroffe's (the guy behind Yo! Sushi) latest venture Yotel!,a Japanese capsule hotel, had New Balance doing some of the its staff's uniform; the shoes that is. Not for sold to the public (not that ppl wud want to haf the word "Yotel" on their shoes) but its pretty cool knowing that no one else wud haf these shoes except for maybe Lazy Pete or your anal manager.
More pics and details after the jump!

Well these ain't the first time things like this happens. You wouldn't think that clothes worn by fast-food employee wud be fashionable until now. Kinda old news but check out these RMC x McDonalds jeans.

Not available for the general public and don't go to ur local McDs asking to see their jeans unless it's a hot girl or u're in HK. I mean those jeans are made for those working for McD in HK not saying that it's normal in HK to go around asking ppl wad jeans they're wearing. Or do they???

Hmmm....if only Yo! Sushi collaborated wif Bape, Evisu or even Nike. But to hell with it, I dun even wear uniform when I'm working ;P. Anyways, I might be thinking of leaving since I've been working there for almost 18 months. Uniqlo and GAP are currently looking for staff but I'm feeling kinda bad leaving since the restaurant is in need of staff. Its kind off a big thing since 7ppl left our branch in less than a month!! Oh yeah. And Yo! Sushi is gonna open 3 restaurants in Malaysia, as a franchise but they're gonna take care of the business for a year.

The Einstein Quiz

I recently came across this Einstein Quiz. Apparently only 2% of the ppl in the world wud be able to answer it. Here's the quiz:
Facts: 1. There are 5 houses in 5 different colors.
2. In each house lives a person with a different nationality.
3. These 5 owners drink a certain beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar and keep a certain pet.
4. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same drink.
5. Hints:
1. The Brit lives in a red house.
2. The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
3. The Dane drinks tea.
4. The green house is on the left of the white house.
5. The green house owner drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The man living in the house right in the centre drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
12. The owner who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15. The man who smokes Blend has a neighbour who drinks water.

Can you determine who keeps the fish?

I was like "yeah!! I cud do it. I'll be the 2% that would solve the quiz." So I took out a pen and paper and start drawing diagrams, mapping the clues out, just like a standard physics question going thru a mechanical process. After around 5-10mins, I managed to come to a conclusion. Well I'm not gonna spoil it for ppl who wanna solve the quiz, so if you wanna solve it don't scroll any further.

Ok this would prolly do. Anyways, I came to the conclusion. I was like hell that was not that difficult. There's prolly a trick to it since Mr. Einstein state that 98% wud not be able to solve it. I mean he's the smart ass guy would flipping came up with E = mc2. So I went through it again and came to the same conclusion. So I prolly did the whole technical and logical process right but not the understanding. Then I look at this Einstein picture.

I was like that's a cheeky little wanker. Prolly the quiz were meant to haf no solution or the solution is some stupid ass answer. So I decided to google the quiz looking for the answer and apparently I found it.
This is quoted from the website I found. It goes:

Almost all the answers to the Einstein Quiz I have seen on the web go through the same mechanical process to solving the puzzle. They chart out the problem, lay out each clue graphically, and slowly build a picture of which persons, drinks and pets are in which houses. Its a logical, technical and involved process. If you do all this you inevitably conclude that it is the German who has fish.

But is this the right way to solve the problem? No its not! Nowhere in the problem, except in the question, is the word fish found. Thus the fifth pet might just as well be elephants as fish. After a lot of work you can safely conclude that the German has the fifth pet, but you have to ASSUME that the fifth pet is fish in order to conclude the German has fish. But you have no basis for making this assumption. Note that Einstein was very careful to separate the "Facts" from the "Question" in this puzzle.

So the correct answer to the Einstein Quiz is: You have no idea if anyone keeps fish or not. Once you grasp the nature of the problem correctly, its rather simple to solve. And it is just like Einstein to give us a puzzle like this, for he stressed examining assumptions, and once wrote: "The important thing is to not stop questioning."

I was like fuck this shit. I just freaking wasted almost 30mins of my time. But then again, I was thinking that I would come up with an answer like that. I mean like saying "Well, this does not mean the german have the fish since it's not stated." But apparently too much Physics can actually subdue my Saggitarrian side (meaning my ego side which thinks that I can come up with a silly answer and yet I can prove that I'm right). So assumption is actually quite a silly and dangerous thing to do well in this case, saying the German have a pet fish but he prolly have a freaking hyena or sumthing. (I just need an excuse to show this pic. I mean is this cool or wad. Hell am I gonna mess wif this dude here.)

Anyways, this was a long post and I can't wait for the new footie season (8 more days). Oh yeah, I can't wait for my architecture course to start as well.
