Football: The Emotions of the Beautiful Game

This is wad football is all about......tears, sorrows.....joy and laughter

Looks like Google Earth had updated its database. Look at the zoom picture of my house. Amazing... I can tell dat this pic is kinda old coz my garden ain't green and there are suppose to be another row of houses.

Anyways, Google Earth had done a gud job. I manage to find Lodge, my restaurants, my grandma's place and Als's place (coz his house is the only house in his area dat've got a pool)

Anyways, was gutted Japan didn't win the match against Croatia but was pleased dat Korea drew France. If only Japan n Korea were to become a football nation, then Asia wud finally haf an association strong enuf to win the World Cup. Wif Korea's nvr say die attitude and Japan's wonderful skills n techniques, they will def give the great footballing nations a run for their money.
Kawaguchi GK
Lee Young-Pyo RB
Nakazawa CB
Miyamoto CB
Santos LB
Park Ji-Sung RM
Nakata CM
Nakamura CM
Seol Ki-Hyeon LM
Ahn Jung-Hwan CF
Lee Chun-Soo CF
Anyways this will nvr happen due to the rivalry (almost hatred) between the Koreans n Japanese but correct me if i'm wrong but i tink its more of Korea hating Japan than vice-versa.

World Cup Winner

My first thought on the potential winners of the World Cup based on their perfomance wud be:
Czech Republic - played very well as a team with gud individual players which can definitely win games for the team
Italy - played with authority. Their defence looked very strong and their strikers looked very gud with each other
Spain - played wonderful attacking football with both Torres and Villa working well with each other
Argentina - One of the teams which haf potential to win. Played like a team which is unusual for Argentina
Germany - Definitely one of the favourites wif home advantage and played very gud attacking football
Brazil - wud haf to step up a gear. At times, they looked very dangerous on the break especially Kaka
England - wud haf to finish off chances which they created. Lots of chances against T&T but didnt finish it. Not on form to win the World Cup and wud def to step up a gear
Sweden - played wonderful attacking football. One of the team which I like watching. Attacked opposition constantly.
Nederlands - Was disappointing but definitely haf got the players to win. Looked very strong on the break as wif team play

Oh yeah, watched Rio's World Cup wind-up last weekend and it was hilarious. Rio merked David Beckham, Gary Neville, Shaun Wright-Phillips wif John Terry, Wayne Rooney, David James, Peter Crouch and Ashley Cole. The players being merked were hilarious. Their face are priceless. Rooney had to tell a kid his dog died, Becks were "taken for a ride", SWP got a waiter fired, Neville got stopped by police, Crouch were in a room wif russian gangsters, all hell breaks lose in a studio which A. Cole thought he was doin charity work and James talking gibberish on paintings. haf got to watch this Rio's program. Extermely hilarious.

World Cup starting today???

Well, everyone is saying dat the World Cup is starting today because Brazil is playing today. But the world champions were disappointing. The team wif the "magical quartet" seemed to be thinking dat they cud coast thru this match but they're were wrong. Croatia, which had never lost a competitive match since the lost to England in the Euro 2004, were playing wif a belief dat they've got nothin to lose and were taking on the Brazilians which I think is the way to play against Brazil. Kaka scored a wonderful goal wif a sweet left foot shot curled past the goalie. Ronaldo and Adriano looked disinterested and Ronaldinho by his standard is disappointing. The player ,which I had been telling my mates here, which is going to shine is Kaka(just wished Fergie wud splash the cash to bring him to Old Trafford). It seems since the start of the World Cup dat the top nations are just trying to get it done and over wif the first match.

France were extremely disappointing. Not scored a goal since the 98' World Cup now dat tells us sumthing. Vieira had been disappointing and he's one of the greatest midfielder in the EPL. Ribery which I had been looking forward to watch him play were also disappointing. Henry looked isolated and i thought the French coach got his tactics wrong. Henry need to play wif a striker ie. Trezeguet. Wif a striker, Henry will receive more freedom and do not need to haf the pressure on being in the centre waiting for the ball. France on this performance do not look like they're gonna be a threat to Brazil o the other favourites.

World Cup 2006

Well, 11 games and 27 goals scored. This had got to be the most exciting World Cup ever and Brazil have yet to play. There's not much shock as in underdogs beating the top teams apart from the Sweden & Trinidad draw n the Ecuadorians beating the Poles. Portugal looked very gud attacking wise countering counter-attack. The Angolans were counter-attacking the Portugese but the Portugese counter attack them back. The match ended 1-0 but its the result that counts at this earlier stage of the tournament. Don't get me wrong but winning a match 1-0 is btr than drawing a game which your perfomance were remarkable.

The Australians looked a very fit team and dats all I will say bout them. I'm disappointed dat Japan lost since they dominate the first 35-40mins. The goal Japan scored I thought was rightfully stood. Schwarzer looked impeded but a 6'5" keeper shud do better when coming out to collect the ball. Yaginasawa was clearly wanting to play the ball wif his eyes firmly looking at the ball, were knocked by Schwarzer. But I thought Australia played well throughout the match but looked very rough and physical at times. Cahill were supposed to be sent off wif his wild tackle on Komano which I thought Japan were unlucky not to get a penalty. Anyways, Australia looked to be on a very good spot to qualify.

The Czech looked very strong as they did in Euro 2004. Koller scored a wonderful goal in terms of team-play wif a perfect center-forward goal. Rosicky had been instrumental and I had always been an admirer of him but now he's a freaking Gooner. He scored two wonderful goals and clearly showed his technically-gifted player. 7 million is a freaking bargain for a player lik dat. He looked exactly lik Nedved like wad Gordon Strachan said "He's not a great goalscorer
but a scorer of great goals." Nedved looked very gud despite problems back in Juventus.

The Azurris played remarkably well against a very gud Ghana side. Luca Toni proved to be a very gud player and he's already 29 years old. His shot against the bar were terrific. One touch on the head and a volley crashing the bar. Totti look gud but Pirlo was instrumental wif Nesta and Cannavaro as reliable as ever. Iaquinta were lucky not to be injured after a crazy tackle by Kuffour but scored after a mistake by Kuffour. The Italians looked like very convincing.

World Cup 2006

My evaluation of the top teams(favorites) so far are as follows:

Germany:

They haf got to buckle up their defence. The only defender performing well against Costa Rica is Metzelder and maybe Lahm. But the other two has got to step up a gear. They're easily beaten wif thru balls. With all respect to Costa Rica but against stronger opposition, they might suffer at the back. The midfield is quite strong wif Ballack (back to the squad), Frings and Borowski(wudnt be playin since Ballack is fit again....its a shame since he played so well for Werder Bremen). Their striking options are limited but Klose seems to be on fire during World Cups.

England:

IMO, they've got the strongest midfield in the tournament wif Brazil. Played extremely well in the first half but they've got to finish off their opponents. Their 2nd half were rubbish...just like the World Cup in Japan against Brazil and France. Becks played very well since 3-4 weeks ago and looked very gud wif his passing. Cole and Gerrard played very well too. Sven had got to get his tactics spot on to even get to the 2nd stage. Since Rooney is not yet match fit, he shud play 4-4-1-1 wif Gerrard doin his thing behind Owen and Carrick protecting the back four giving freedom to Lampard. So C'MON ENGLAND

Argentina:

Has to be up there among the favorites. Played extremely well against the tough Ivorians. Looked very convincing. Wonderful first half and seemed to be protecting the lead after being 2-0 up. Saviola, whom were suprisingly picked over Tevez, played very well wif Riquelme, Mascherano and Sorin. Defended very well. They looked very gud as a team and haf a very gud chance in winning the World Cup.

Nederlands:

The Dutch played very well against a very strong Serb defence. Robben played well but didnt contribute to the team play but nevertheless scored the only goal. Their attacking look gud wif Ruud, van Persie n Robben. Their defence looked very gud and van der Sar ,as always, extermely reliable btwn the sticks. Although Serbia looked threatening but the Dutch were extermely tight at the back.
